What is IHHT and why should you care?

IHHT is like having your own alpine training center right in your home. Imagine sitting comfortably in a chair, breathing specially treated air, while your body goes through a transformation that prepares you for incredible performances on the bike. This innovative method alternates the phases of breathing air with a low oxygen content (hypoxia) and high oxygen content (hyperoxia) ). It's like training in high mountains and then quickly moving to a valley full of fresh air - all in one workout.


Why should every cyclist consider IHHT?

A recent study led by Professor Yuriy Arkhipenko revealed stunning results:


1. 8.4% VO2max Increase: Imagine having an 8.4% bigger engine in your body. This is exactly what increasing VO2max means. You can ride faster, longer and with less effort.


2. 8.1% improvement in hypoxia tolerance: Remember the last time you struggled with lack of oxygen on a steep climb? With a better hypoxia tolerance, you will be much stronger in these situations.


3. 14.4% increase in PWC170: The PWC170 is like a measure of your cycling "engine". Its 14.4% increase means you can produce more power at the same heart rate. Imagine how it would change your performance in races!

How to incorporate IHHT into your cycling life

Phase 1: Basic therapy (1 month)


Imagine building a solid foundation for the house of your cycling dreams. These are the first four weeks with IHHT:


• 15 visits, every other day

• 45 minute sessions

• Alternating 5-7 minutes with 10-11% O2 (as if you were at 5000m above sea level) and 2-3 minutes with 30-35% O2 (as a super-oxygenated atmosphere)


During this phase, continue with your normal cycling training. IHHT works in the background, preparing your body for future performances.


Phase 2: Integration (1-2 months)


Now you start building the walls of your house of performance:


• 1-2 IHHT sessions per week

• Gradually increase the sessions to 60 minutes

• Ideally include IHHT 1.5-2 hours after the main cycling training


In this phase, you will begin to feel the first significant changes. You may find that hills that used to bother you can suddenly be handled with ease.


Phase 3: Advanced (3+ months)
